Wishing Well Loop

Today's meeting point is outside Applegreen on North Street in Swords. Public parking is available on the street (pay and display) or through the arch, in the hotel opposite, Carnegie Court. We will head down the adjacent lane and through the park, to dream at the wishing well for new bikes, bright evenings and other such miracles! We continue out past the fire station and along Balheary, over the Broadmeadow River to Ballyboughal Airfield, before taking a left towards Ballyboughal village itself. It's too soon to stop for a coffee, so we'll cross the staggered junction and head towards Oldtown. It's downhill all the way from here (mostly). We take a left towards Rolestown and make a quick stop for refreshments in the delightful surrounds - autumnal leaves falling and the faint whiff of petroleum products! Only 10 more kilometres to go, via Balheary Avenue, the fire station and over the humpback bridge back to where we started from and home to a nice bowl of warming country vegetables!
