This ride is listed as challenging as we will attempt to keep our speed up to 20km per hour.
We will depart from Thomastown, taking the R448 past Jerpoint Abbey and onto Ballyhale, turning right through Knocktopher and onto Stoneyford village, where we will take a short break. As we won't be taking a coffee stop, bring a snack or piece of fruit with you to have at this point. We will then take the Ennisnag road passing by Nore Valley pet farm through Bennettsbridge and onto Thomastown on the R700. This route is a really nice mix of main and quiet roads and promises to be very enjoyable on a summers evening. It will definitely be worth the effort.

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
Brilliant spin we set out to hold a pace of 20 kph and achieved 22kph, great result on a lovely summers evening
