Have you began to use your bike during lockdown, but would like to get out with a group, to have some company and chat to get you through those kilometres? If so this is the ride for you!
We will be on quiet roads going at an easy pace, enjoying the scenery and countryside on a summers morning. We will leave from Stoneyford at 10am, travelling towards Noreland's and Ballylinch; taking a left turn to bring us to Bennettsbridge and our coffee stop at Crafted Cafe. Once back on our bikes we will travel across the bridge, turning left past Nicholas Mosse pottery and onto Ennisnag, turning left to take us back to Stoneyford. If you are nervous about being on main roads or need a little advice on how to get the best out of your gears, this is the ride for you. We also welcome the more experienced rider to come along with us to enjoy a morning out!
Please click here to familiarise yourself with the safety guidance in place for group rides during Covid-19, and complete a self-assessment personal screening questionnaire in advance of your bike ride.

Note that insurance cover is only extended for the duration of the individual bike ride you have registered to complete.
I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
