We will start from outside Palmer's Foodstore and Bed & Breakfast in the village of New Twopothouse. Travelling along the R581, we cycle towards Old Twopothouse turning left before the Hazel Tree Inn. We will cycle along quiet country roads, some of which have mixed surfaces so a hybrid or mountain bike would be best for this journey. The road will take us towards Ballybeg Priory where we turn right and travel along similar country roads until we reach the village of Doneraile. Turning right, we will enter the park at the top of the village which will bring us directly into a coffee shop. After coffee, we will have the option to cycle through the park and exit opposite the golf club, returning along the R581 back to New Twopothouse.

I joined my local AXA Community Bike Ride group in 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being part of a friendly and sociable community. I became a leader to give back to the group I've gotten so much from. I love being out on the bike, I vary my rides distance and speed to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
We enjoyed a lovely quiet country route along back roads from New Twopothouse to Doneraile Wildlife park stopping for a well earned cofffe and scones at the parks tea rooms. The route has a few hills but nothing insurmountable and the views along the way are worth it. The road back was partly country lanes and part main road. What a day to be out and about, 20 degrees and sunny in mid October! Well done to all the gang that came out today.
