We will start our bike ride at Grand Canal Harbour, which is located opposite the Harbour House bar. We will then cycle out of Edenderry, on St Mary's Road and over the Grand Canal Bridge, where locals fish, and acess to a new Greenway is planned. As we head towards Ballyfore Cross, we are leaving Edenderry behind us and we are then enjoying all the benefits of the local countryside, passing through the local area of Bogtown. Further along on the R402, we will be able to see, in the distance, the wind turbines situated in The Mount Lucas Walk & Cycle Park - access to this site is temporarily restricted due to ongoing works. Just ahead, on the right, we will stop for our coffee break in Darcy's of Mount Lucas! We will need to dismount off our bikes and cross the road to Darcy's when it is safe to do so. On our return journey, back to Edenderry, we can enjoy our cycle and hopefully you will join me again for another AXA Community Bike Ride in the near future.
