This ride is challenging by virtue of distance not speed. We will be travelling at a comfortable pace for everyone and enjoying a summers day. We will leave from Knocktopher, heading to Dunamaggin and onto Kells. From there we will pass by Kells Priory to take us into Stoneyford, stopping at Knockdrinna cafe for our coffee and cake. Back on our bikes we will travel down the street turning left for Norelands onto Killarney cross, turning right onto the R700 to take us through Thomastown, taking the R448 passing by Jerpoint Abbey and back to Knocktopher. This ride offers fabulous scenery with lots of historical sites thrown in, it's a lovely spin and very enjoyable.

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
